Balluku: Ready to address all issues that ease burden on business

TIRANA, May 3 /ATA/ Deputy Prime Minister, also Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku participated in the round table with the representatives of the Union of Albanian Producers to discuss some demands presented by them, such as the scrapping of the excise duty on liquefied gas, or the permit for import of alternative fuels for cement factories.

In her remarks, the minister underlined the importance of adopting Europe’s best practices.

Deputy Prime Minister Balluku emphasized that this demand related to excise tax on liquefied tax will also be discussed with the Ministry of Finance regarding the effect incurred on the budget.

She assured the business representatives that the government is ready to address all those issues that ease the burden on business.

“For us, it is important that all the steps we will take going forward are based on the best practices. We are not expected to reinvent the wheel, we will not take any steps that have not been taken by EU countries or that the region has not started to take. This should be focused on and if we stay on this track, I am sure we will address this demand in the fastest way. What I would ask from the heads of the parliamentary committees of the Economy and Production Activities is speed, since the process of legal changes usually takes a lot of of time”, said Balluku.
