TIRANA, May 2 /ATA/ Minister of State for Relations with Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, stated on Thursday that SPAK is setting the standard for the fight against impunity.
In her remarks during the plenary session, Spiropali addressed the opposition MPs, saying that “even today you proved more clearly than ever that our position on justice has put us on divergent paths.”
“Your boat, which has begun to take on water, of course, has also lost its orientation. In the morning at the revolution you are staging in front of Tirana city hall, on “Murat Toptani” street, you ask SPAK to arrest Veliaj. In the evening at the doctor’s alleyway, on Mustafa Matohiti street, you curse and label SPAK as a criminal organization,” Spiropali said.
“But what standard are your talking about? To whom do you sell this standard in relation to justice when you stand up here and moralize about the justice reform, which we initially voted with 140 votes, but of course holding our heads high, you crestfallen, forced by those whom you cursed from morning to night, the then EU ambassador and the US ambassador. Meanwhile you keep cursing, either from the top of the parallel bars or from the windows, all the EU ambassadors and the Americans, as you are in trouble with them and the heads of the independent institutions of justice”, said Spiropali.
