TIRANA, April 24 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama reaffirmed Wednesday his and the Socialist Party’s unconditional support for the Special Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Prosecution Structure (SPAK).
In an interview with the Report TV, the government head stated that the ruling Socialist Party was the political force to build a new, independent justice system that would put an end to the culture of impunity.
“Socialist Party is the ruling and decisive force to deliver on its pledge to build a new history on the path of the Albanian state since 1912, with the justice system being totally liberated from the claws of the political power and the executive power,” PM Rama said.
Rama acknowledged that the European Union and the European Union have contributed to the judicial reform, but it was the ruling Socialists that overhauled the country’s justice system and press ahead with the reform to create new justice bodies.
“I have repeatedly stated that we want to build a justice system independent of the political power,” the Premier added.
