TIRANA, March 25 /ATA/ The Albanian Road Authority provided an update about the road situation, after the snowfall that swept the northern areas of the country since last night.
According to ARA, the circulation of vehicles is running smoothly, while the snow ploughs are on the ground to clean the road and distribute salt.
“During the night and in the morning in the northern areas of the country at an altitude above 750 m, there was snowfall. Rainfall was recorded on the axes: Bajram Curri – Valbonë, Kuben – Vasije, Bogë – Theth, Tamarë – Vermosh and Ura e Zapodi – Shishtavec”, according to the press release of the ARA.
ARA recommends road users to slow down, use winter tires in snow-covered areas, adhere to road signs, and follow the instructions of the Traffic Police.
