“Terminal for Tirana”, Gonxhja: An indicator of intercultural development

TIRANA, March 20/ATA/ “Terminal for Tirana” is the unique artistic installation, located at the entrance of the “Mother Teresa” University Hospital Center, by the Polish artist Karolina Halatek. “Terminal for Tirana” is one of the winning projects of the “Art in Public Space” call, which aims to include art as an integral part of the community, turning these works into cultural tourism spots of interest.

The work of art was curated by Adela Demetja of Tirana Art Lab in cooperation with architects Elian Stefa and Dea Buza.

Minister Blendi Gonxhja wrote in a post in the social media that the works of art in public spaces are important indicators of intercultural development, adding a completely new dimension to the spaces where they are installed.

“The Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation will continue to support such projects as an opportunity to bring art and culture closer to us”, wrote Minister Gonxhja./p.s./
