TIRANA, March 1 /ATA/ – The President of the Republic Bajram Begaj will welcome an expanded delegation of Italy’s Arberesh community, who will be visiting Albania on the occasion of the 580th anniversary of the League of Lezha.
The delegation includes local government officials of the Arberesh regions and communes, activists, journalists and organizations that contribute to the efforts to further enhance ties and relations between the Arberesh community and Albania.
After reception at the President’s office, the head of state and the Arberesh delegation will travel to the northwestern city of Lezha, where series of events marking the anniversary of the League of Lezha are scheduled to take place.
