TIRANA, Feb 27 /ATA/ – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned in Tirana on Wednesday that Russia could do whatever it takes to destabilize situation in the Balkans and in other former Eastern Bloc countries.
Speaking at a joint press conference with the Prime Minister Edi Rama after the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit in Albania, Zelenskyy appealed for continued support for Ukraine, saying “Russia won’t stop if we pause.”
“The fact that we have come together here is an important example showing that we are doing so to defend ourselves, to defend a path to peace that does not lead to the war. I think what is happening now is the right example,” Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy stated that the Western Balkans should be together, “because Russia will do whatever it takes to destabilize the situation in the region.”
“In fact, Russia hasn’t overcome the situation in Ukraine. And it hasn’t succeeded there. I am grateful to your citizens, partners and to everyone who has assisted Ukraine,” he said.
