TIRANA, Feb 28 /ATA/ President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, at the opening of the Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit, in Tirana, stated that every nation can defend itself and win, when different nations cooperate and their people are motivated to put up resistance.
“Throughout this war, a war on all fronts, we have shown that it is possible to face and win against an enemy that seems to be one of the most powerful in the world. Any nation can defend itself and win when different nations cooperate and their people are motivated to resist. We propose combining our efforts and strengthening them”, said the Ukrainian President, Zelensky.
Zelenskyy emphasized that the power of Ukraine alone is not enough to win over Putin.
“We are proud that there are about 500 companies in the field of defense that operate in Ukraine, in various fields, and each of them adds to our strength, but this is not enough to win over Putin,” Zelensky said.
He brought up the concern about the supply of Ukraine with ammunition, while underlining the need for cooperation for their co-production in our region.
“We also see problems in the supply of ammunition, which affect our situation on the battlefield. That’s why we are interested in the co-production of ammunition with you and our partners,” he said.
He proposed holding a special forum for the defense industry between Ukraine and the Balkans, in Kiev or one of the Balkan cities.
Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the cooperation and interaction so far, considering it a key factor that is not letting Putin win.
Zelensky expressed gratitude for the cooperation and interaction so far, considering it a key factor that is not allowing Putin to win.
“I am grateful to you for the joint work with your countries, in terms of roads, ports, railways, but also in the sea. Coupled with the defense package and political-macro-financial support, this interaction between us, between neighbors, neighboring regions, partners, has become a factor, which, together with the resistance of our people in Ukraine, does not allow Putin to win. I would also like to emphasize our joint work in the Black Sea and the Danube region,” Zelensky emphasized.
Regarding food safety, Zelensky said that cooperation in this direction benefits the whole world.
“We must continue to develop our good neighborly relations even further, in the field of logistics, infrastructure, trade and the relations with each other for energy”, said the Ukrainian President.
Regarding political cooperation, President Zelenskyy underlined that what makes us good partners makes Putin weaker.
“That’s why he invests so much in divide and crises, in divide and rule. He knows very well what is good for his interests. But we must know what is good for our interests because only in this way will we protect each other. Glory to Ukraine,” the President of Ukraine stated from Tirana.
