TIRANA, Feb 22 / ATA/ The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, said on Thursday that the inclusion of the DP protesters in criminal amnesty is non-negotiable.
“We heard a statement from the SP about the reason why the amnesty was withdrawn from the plenary session. I hope it is part of the lies spread these days and not part of the deals to fish for MP vote,” Balla said in a media statement.
The DP head stated that, “the first step needed to rectify the situation is backing away from the proposals that were sneakily introduced to the benefit of corrupt officials. Secondly, they should incorporate DP’s proposals to include the protesters in the amnesty.”
“It is a DP request, it is not a request for negotiation, it is not a matter of negotiation, it is necessary”, emphasized Basha
We, Basha continued, “see this as a necessary and integral part of the amnesty, which should also apply to these protesters. Therefore, we stand firm on this request, of course those who currently have the majority of votes in the parliament should take it into account.
