TIRANA, February 17/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed today his best wishes on the 16th anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence Day.
“Happy Independence Day, Kosovo!”, wrote the prime minister in the social media, while sharing a photo from the parade of the Guard of the Republic of Kosovo with the national flag.
Kosovo today celebrates the 16th anniversary of the Independence Day, as declared on the historic February 17, 2008.
This historic date came after Kosovo gained its freedom on June 12, 1999, when NATO’s peacekeeping and rescue forces began to enter the country and the United Nations Interim Administration Mission was established./m.m/p.s./
