TIRANA, Feb 3 /ATA/ – The main opposition Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha voiced support for the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime office (SPAK) on Saturday, stating that the new justice body was “the only hope to put an end to impunity in Albania.”
DP chairman took to the social media to share images from his yesterday’s meeting with the DP supporters and structures in the Administrative units 2 and 8 in Tirana.
“SPAK is the only hope for Albanians to put an end to the impunity and that’s why SPAK is under attack,” Basha told meeting with his supporters.
“They won’t succeed! This is not only because of the DP’s unconditional support for SPAK and the National Bureau of Investigation, but also the United States of America and the European Union are on our side in this battle,” he added.
Basha also said that DP had already completed its new program and is consulting it with the Western friends and partners.
“This program will be introduced to Albanian citizens soon. The program supports citizens, the former landowners, the former politically persecuted people, Albanian farmers, youth, entrepreneurship, health workers, public administration, education employees and pensioners,” he said.
