TIRANA, Dec 19 /ATA/ Albania is being visited more and more by foreign tourists.
The Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) recently published the performance of accommodation structures, which in October 2023 recorded a double-digit increase both for the stays of residents and non-residents.
According to INSTAT, the number of total visitors has increased by 41.4%, compared to October 2022.
The number of resident visitors, according to INSTAT, has increased by 44%, while the number of non-resident visitors has increased by 39.3%.
Referring to INSTAT, the total number of overnight stays has increased by 68.8%, compared to October 2022. Specifically, the number of overnight stays by residents has increased by 78.9%, while the number of overnight stays by non-residents has increased by 62.1%.
The net occupancy rate of rooms and beds, an indicator that measures the percentage of accommodation capacity utilization, rooms and beds available for visitors, has also increased.
During the month of October, the occupancy rate of “hotels and similar accommodation” rooms is 16.4%, compared to 12.5% in October 2022.
