TIRANA, Dec 8 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama stated Friday that the case on the murder of four peaceful protesters in the January 21, 2011 anti-government protest is being held hostage by what he termed as “the old justice”.
Addressing the Socialist Party’s Congress, PM Rama said “the new justice bodies are two km away from the old justice and have yet to take over the case on the Jan 21 events.”
“I would like to recall the fact that despite our readiness, indeed the public enemies of the justice system reform in parliament delayed approval of the constitutional changes for three years after the day when this whole reform package was approved,” Rama said.
