TIRANA, Dec 6 /ATA/ The spokesperson of the Democratic Party, Mirela Karabina, reacted Wednesday to the remarks of the head of Reestablishment, Sali Berisha, regarding the request to the Constitutional Court on the agreement on migrants, signed in Rome by Prime Ministers Rama-Meloni.
“The only thing that Sali Berisha can do in relation to justice is not to hide as a coward, but to face the corruption charges leveled against him,” Karabina said.
“Berisha has reasons to be upset today about the request of the Democratic Party filed with the Constitutional Court regarding the agreement on migrants, because it was part of his political horse-trading with Edi Rama. And this horse-trading, with which he intended to get some thank-you card at the expense of the Albanians, was thwarted,” she said.
“There is no Albanian who does not know that the parliament show is Rama and Berisha’s game to protect and keep each other in politics. At daylight they act as if they are fighting, at night they strike deals on high-rise buildings, attacks against SPAK, as you have seen in the coordinated statements against it, and shows in the Parliament, where Albanians are the only ones who are deprived,” she said.
According to her, the troubles of Sali Berisha are no longer the troubles of DP, that is why he has aggressively worked to undermine this party since two years now, but he has not succeeded and will never succeed.
