TIRANA, November 28/ATA/ Interior Minister Taulant Balla participated in the International Conference for the Global Alliance against Migrant Trafficking, held in Brussels.
On the sidelines of the conference, he had a meeting with Commissioner Varhelyi.
“No single country can deal with the challenges of illegal migrant trafficking alone, therefore every country must be guided by the principles of partnership, solidarity and cooperation”, said Balla.
According to him, the European Union highly appreciates the role and achievements of Albania in this regard.
Interior Minister Taulant Balla expressed Albania’s stance regarding the issues of illegal migration and the negative phenomena that accompany it during the international conference called by the President of the European Commission Von Der Leyen.
Balla also took the opportunity to speak about our expectations regarding the “screening” process; we expect it will be closed within the next 14 months while the other chapters to be opened by the end of the current year. /p.s./
