TIRANA, Nov 15 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Wednesday that, in the middle of next year, the average salary will be 900 euros.
In his remarks at the Extended Assembly of the Socialist Party in Peshkopi, Rama said that, “in the 2024 budget we have allocated funds to increase the salaries of teachers more than ever before, we will increase the salaries of nurses, we will increase the salaries of law enforcement officers, we will increase the salaries of the military, we will increase the salaries of all state employees, and in the middle of next year the average salary will go up to 900 euros.”
“An allocation of 400 million euros will go to salary raise. And of course this does not come as a result of our desire, because we wanted to do this from the first day, but it comes as a result of the fact that we have strengthened the base of the economy, expanded resources and increased income increasing the possibilities to allocate much more for these budget lines ,” the Prime Minister said, pointing out that, “even in the private sector, the salary raise is significant and will be much more significant next year.”
