TIRANA, November 7/ATA/ Chairman of the Democratic Party in opposition Lulzim Basha reacted today to the agreement with Italy for emigrants while he was on a visit to the “Filipi Company” in Sanxhak. Basha requested that Edi Rama should urgently make transparency about the signed agreement for emigrants.
“On the one hand, he expels Albanians, on the other hand, he seeks to take in illegal emigrants. Italy is a friendly country, but national interests are primary, only transparency shows whether or not the interests of Albanians are being violated”, Basha said.
“The first principle of governance is transparency. Through transparency, we can guarantee that such agreements are not in conflict with the interest of Albanians, do not violate, do not kick over the public interest for the personal interests of a politician in trouble, whoever he is, including the prime minister. These are the limits, this is the framework of a responsible government”, said Basha.
He also said that the Democratic Party has requested an urgent interpellation with the prime minister for this agreement./r.e/p.s./
