TIRANA, Oct 31 /ATA/ – Heavy rains pounded areas across Shkoder on Tuesday evening, triggering traffic problems in several road segments in the north-western Albanian city.
Shkoder Mayor Benet Beci said that local emergency teams, water supply and sewerage workers, and public services are working to return normality in the city in record time.
“Shkoder Municipality will also intervene to improve and clean the existing canals network,” Beci said.
The Meteorological Service said that torrential rains, thunderstorms and hailstorms are forecast to sweep across the north-western area this evening.
