TIRANA, October 10 /ATA/ On Tuesday, in the local foreign currency exchange market, Albanian Lek strengthened its position against the US dollar and depreciated versus the euro, if compared to yesterday.
According to the official exchange rate of the Bank of Albania, the US dollar is exchanged at 99.64 Lekë or 0.50 Lekë less and the euro has strengthened its positions by 0.13 Lekë, being quoted at 105.63 Lekë.
Today, the British pound and the Swiss franc are in the same positions in exchange with the Lek. The British currency is exchanged at 122.21 Lekë or 0.23 Lekë more and the Swiss franc is exchanged at 110.22 Lekë or 0.21 Lekë more than on Monday.
According to experts, the foreign exchange is stable and fluctuations versus the Lek are slight as a result of seasonal effects.
