TIRANA, October 8/ATA/ The Chairman of the Democratic Party in opposition Lulzim Basha talked today with citizens and entrepreneurs of the city of Fier.
The citizens told Basha that unemployment is a big problem in Fier, as well.
In a post in the social media, Basha wrote that, “The deterioration of the economic situation has increased emigration in Fier like in the whole country. Citizens’ concerns are related to the high prices of food, tariffs, oil, gas, energy. 1 in 3 families does not have the opportunity to use oil, gas or electricity for transportation, lighting or heating during the winter, making the situation even more difficult for thousands of families”.
“Albania, the poorest in the region, ranks among the most corrupt countries in the world. The incinerator affair alone, of which Fieri is also a victim, costs Albanians 430 million euros. Money is stolen, while our cities are covered by smog, filled with garbage, because it’s all just a scheme of fraud, theft and exploitation”, emphasized Basha.
Therefore, added Basha, the fight against corruption is the main priority for the Democratic Party.
“We support and encourage SPAK to go to the end of punishing corrupt officials and former officials who are impoverishing Albania”, said Basha. /k.s/p.s./
