TIRANA, September 20/ATA/- Interior Minister Taulant Balla held a meeting today with the Local Police Directorate of Tirana holding them in high esteem for the mega-operation which led to the arrest of 233 drug dealers and dealt a blow to 23 criminal gangs.
Balla regarded such operations as a significant indicator of the seriousness and commitment of the State Police against any illegal activity.
“We have managed to give the first big blow. The national-scale police operation “Temple” is one of those blows that makes every member of the organization proud of the State Police”, emphasized Balla.
Balla also evaluated highly the prosecutors and judges who cooperated with the State Police during this operation, which is underway.
However, Balla stated that more work is needed to identify the wanted persons and added that there will be cooperation with Europol and Interpol. Balla also emphasized that the European Interpol Conference will be organized in Albania for the first time and this also implies an appreciation for the work and achievements of the Albanian State Police./p.s./
