TIRANA, Sept 7 /ATA/ September comes with a good news for children, who love coding, even in non-public schools.
This is what the Minister of State for Children and Youth, Bora Muzhaqi, said during a meeting with some of the representatives of non-public schools in the country. Also, in attendance were the Deputy Minister of Education and Sports, Nina Guga, representative of the Pre-University Education Quality Assurance Agency and the General Directorate of Pre-University Education.
“At this meeting, we shared with them our experience with the coding program in the first grade, as well as invited them to join us in this program, extending it to non-public schools as well,” Muzhaqi said in a post on social networks.
Minister Muzhaqi said that “coding has already become the favorite subject of 7,076 first-graders and will be dear to non-public school children as well.”
“It was a pleasure to learn about the willingness of representatives of non-public schools to be included in this program, which for the first time started to be implemented in the public schools countrywide, alongside the most developed countries in the world. The subject of coding does not only set students up for coding, but through the adventures of creativity as a game, it develops their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, giving results in all other subjects,” emphasized Muzhaqi.
Minister Muzhaqi said that “with the support of AADF, we will also be able to provide non-public school children with access to the Code Monkey platform, as well as teaching up to European standards and modern conditions, enabling the training of subject teachers.”
