TIRANA, Aug 27 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama gave an interview with Greek leading newspaper “Kathimerini”, due to be released on Sunday, the government head announced in a post on the social media.
“I would invite to follow my full and uncensored interview with the Greek leading daily Kathimerini’s journalist Pavlos Papadopoulos,” PM Rama said.
A few days ago, PM Rama personally contacted Greek journalist Pavlos Papadopulos, who criticized Albanian government through an article on Ekathimerini over the action towards the mayor-elect of Himare, Fredi Beleri, who has been arrested on vote buying charges.
PM Rama personally contacted the Greek journalist via the “Whats App” platform, asking him that for the sake of transparency and media independence, he should have also cited the voice of the government in the article published by him.
Although initially reluctant, Papadopulos agreed to interview the Premier and the interview will be released today.
