TIRANA, August 15 /ATA/ Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla highlighted today the need to deal a severe blow to the phenomenon of drugs distribution.
Through a post in social media, Balla praised the State Police for attacking and bringing to justice a network of traffickers from Kosovo to Albania and seizing a very large amount of doses of narcotics. He emphasized that this battle is difficult, but not impossible.
“The success of the routine operation of the State Police in hitting a network of traffickers from Kosovo to Albania and seizing a very large amount of doses of drugs highlights the need for an even tougher fight against this phenomenon. This is a battle and a challenge for the police of every other country and some may say that it is difficult, that other countries also face the same problem. I do not think so. In the last few weeks, the police has hit several networks of narcotics distributors, even though the police should now pursue the traces that lead to the drugs bosses as soon as possible,” Balla emphasized.
Balla also highlighted the significance of increasing the level of security and control near schools, in order to prevent and combat the sale of narcotics in the educational institutions. /k.s/r.e/p.s./
