25 Albanian authors translated into foreign languages in course of 3 years

TIRANA, August 15/ATA/ One of the challenges of the work of the National Book and Reading Center is the translation of the Albanian book into other languages and cultures.

In the course of three years, through the program: Foreign Language Translation Fund, the National Book and Reading Center supported the translation of 25 Albanian authors such as: Visar Zhiti, Romeo Çollaku, Fatos Lubonja, Zija Çela, Tom Kuka, Mira Meksi, Natasha Lako, Artan Fuga, Ylljet Aliçka, etc. The translations were carried out in different languages such as French, Greek, Turkish, Serbian, Italian, etc.

During these years, the Albanian books have been translated the most in Italian language. This year alone, there were 12 applications to the fund for the Italian language, where there was an increase in interest in young authors such as Enkelejd Lamaj, Andreas Dushi, Liridon Mulaj, Suad Arilla, and others.

The National Book and Reading Center wants the map of translations into other languages to grow, along with the translations of other Albanian authors. /p.s./
