PRISTINA, Aug 8 /ATA/ – The United States Ambassador to Kosovo Jeffrey Hovenier expressed gratitude to the outgoing Defence Minister Armend Mehaj for the close cooperation and partnership during his tenure.
Hovenier took to the social media to thank Mehaj after Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti accepted his resignation from the post of the country’s Defence Minister.
“Appreciated the opportunity to thank Former Minister of Defence Mehaj for his service and our close cooperation and partnership during his tenure. Wishing him the best in his upcoming endeavours,” U.S. Ambassador twitted.
After Mehaj’s resignation reportedly for personal and family reasons, PM Kurti appointed Colonel Ejup Maqedonci as Kosovo’s new Defence Minister.
