TIRANA, Aug 7 /ATA/ – Three Albanian girls recently completed the TechGirls exchange program in the United States.
The United States Embassy in Tirana said Monday that three young women, namely Keona, Samanta, and Sidorela, represented Albania during the U.S.-based TechGirls summer exchange to empower and support girls ages 15-17 as they pursue higher education and careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The three girls attended tech-related lectures and connected with their peers from around the world through innovative workshops and training with American technologists.
As part of the TechGirls follow-on program, the three girls are now working with Bruna Rizvanolli in Albania on projects to improve their local communities.
“The U.S. Embassy is proud to support initiatives that help young girls become the next generation of women leaders in STEM. Congratulations girls for representing Albania so well,” Embassy said.
