TIRANA, Aug 6 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Sunday pictures from the Tirana Lake and Grand Park as one of the most preferred weekend getaways for the citizens in the Albanian capital.
“Tirana Lake,” PM Rama wrote on social media, sharing a gallery of pictures showing the vibe around the artificial lake in the capital city.
Grand Park in Tirana Lake has always been an oasis for Tirana citizens to escape the extreme hot summer days, as well as for the nature lovers and enthusiasts of the physical and sport activities.
Just south of the prestigious district of Blloku is Tirana’s Grand Park, the top spot for fresh air and some exercise in the city centre. The Park covers 230 hectares.
This park is known for its walking trails and features a 550-hectare lake which is open for fishing activities. This park houses the Tirana Zoo and an amphitheatre which hosts events regularly especially during the summers.
The latest investments in building streets, the Lake pier, several educational and sports grounds make the Park a lot more attractive to children and adults alike.
