TIRANA, Aug 4 /ATA/ The Democratic Party chairman, Lulzim Basha, held a meeting with the leadership structures of this party in Fier, while preparations are underway to hold the National Assembly on September 2.
Basha said that with the leadership structures of the Fier District Democratic Party, they started preparing for the next steps that “will turn our political party into the voice of the citizens who seek change and a better alternative to challenge the corrupt government of Edi Rama.”
“The Democratic Party can and will do this, rallying behind the values and ideas, in the Civic Alliance for Democracy, through which we can form a majority that transcends political divisions, to make constitutional changes that give strength and power to citizens,” Basha said in a post on social media.
He listed the proposals that are the open lists; Vetting in politics; restriction of mandates; Diaspora vote; Election of President by the people.
