TIRANA, July 31 /ATA/ Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro expressed today on the World Day of Rangers (environmental guards), gratitude and respect for all rangers, part of the National Agency of Protected Areas, who dedicate every day of their lives to nature and its protection, and not in a small area, but in almost 22% of the territory of Albania.
Today, their sacrifices come through the voice of the good professional Agim Bala, who for 32 years has surrendered to his passion, nature, said Kumbaro, who also shared a video on social networks.
Agim Bala said in the video that forests are his motivation at work.
“They are my daily desire and passion, they are my motivation that encourage me to go to work and meet local and foreign visitors, tell them about trails, biodiversity, habitats and the national park”, he said.
“Since the national park has a rich wild fauna with bears, pigs, roe deer, rabbits, etc., meeting a small roe deer left me with a special feeling. My most difficult experience was dealing with fires,” he added.
Agim called on businesses, tourists and the entire community to be aware and conserve the national forest wealth.
“I would appeal to all business, tourists, community who take in the essence of the natural beauty of the national park, to have an increased awareness in the use of these assets, as a precious national asset, to leave generations a sustainable biodiversity”, he emphasized. /r.e/p.s./
