TIRANA, June 29/ATA/ The number of researchers registered in the State Archives has experienced a four-fold increase thanks to the digitalization process.
The year 2019, marked the turning point in the direction of the use of documentary wealth.
The only meeting point with the archival collections of the Albanian state was possible only through physical visits to the Study Hall of the General Directorate of the Archives. But, beginning from 4 years ago, thanks to digitalization, access to documents is possible anywhere and anytime.
The digital archiving enterprise has irreversibly influenced the future of archival asset management methods. Thus, digitization has increased institutional productivity, while also enabling the long-term preservation of documentary materials, for the sake of future generations.
The nationwide initiative to open Archival Corners spread over dozens of cities, inside and outside Albania, has given a further boost to researchers registered in study spaces. Archives houses the past, serving with the pulse of time./p.s./
