TIRANA, June 14/ATA/ The Independent Qualification Commission confirmed today in office the Prosecutor of Tirana Ylli Bashaj.
During the hearing session, Bashaj was interrogated about the coherence and authenticity of a contract for the purchase of a house in 2000. According to the administrative investigation of the team headed by Lulzim Hamitaj, with member Valbona Sanxhaktari and reporter Genta Tafa Bungo, there were noted changes in the financial declarations and an additional payment after signing the contract.
The Independent Qualification Commission, however, evaluated that the problems found had been clarified and decided to confirm Bashaj in office.
Bashaj has a long career in the prosecution beginning with the Prosecutor’s Office of Kavaja Judicial District and in the Prosecutor’s Office of the Judicial District of Tirana./p.s./
