TIRANA, June 12 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed grateful thanks to the allies who have welcomed the draft he proposed for establishment of the Serbian Association in the north of Kosovo.
While taking the floor at the celebration event of the 32nd anniversary of the foundation of the Socialist Party, which was held today at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana, Rama said that, “I am glad that the effort to make a concrete contribution to the dialogue and the resolution of the impasse of the association of municipalities with a Serbian majority has been very well-received by our allies and partners”.
The prime minister also reacted to those who do not want to hear about a proposal from Albania because, according to them, each of both sides should make the association according to their own mind. PM Rama said that these people in Prishtina and Belgrade are still living with communism in their heads, when politics was about “who said it” rather than “what did they say”. And secondly, it is true that each one decides for himself, but this region is not only theirs, it is also ours, it also belongs to some others, said Rama.
The prime minister emphasized that, “If it is more convenient for them to still play games of war, a quarter of a century after the real war has ended and no side can fire a single shot because there is the NATO while our great allies are running out of patience because they are looking for final peace, I tell you that we, not only are not at all interested in such war games, but more than that, we are completely against that game”. /gj.m/r.e/p.s./
