TIRANA, May 30 /ATA/ The National Council of European Integration has opened calls for Civil Society organizations to contribute as members to the role of the Assembly in the integration process.
The news was announced on Tuesday by the chair of the NCEI, Jorida Tabaku, who stated that such an opportunity came as a result of the legal changes to the law on “Role of the Assembly in the integration process.”
“For a long time I have been asking that the integration process should be a national process, where everyone can contribute, and since the government is not doing this, then it is upon us to perform this role. This process is the property of no one,” emphasized Tabaku.
According to her, the openness of the NCEI to civil society is one of the most positive innovations of the law on the role of the Assembly in the integration process.
“It fulfills the promise to bring the integration process as close as possible to the citizens and to transform this process into an opportunity to build Europe here. Therefore, I invite all civil society organizations to apply to be part of the NCEI and to participate in the consultative processes of the NCEI in the European integration process. Together, we can be a more watchful eye and definitely protect the interests of the citizens,” said Tabaku. /m.m/sm/
