Rama: Civilized conduct, first point in mayors’ governance program

TIRANA, May 29/ATA/ The Prime Minister, at the same time Chairman of the Socialist Party Edi Rama continued today his tour of thanks for the result of the local elections, with a meeting with the local residents of Korça.

Rama said that the result of May 14 in the region of Korça was exceptional, but in any case the SP would not have succeeded without the support of the Albanians.

“The result in all of Albania was extraordinary, that’s why I’m here, too. I’m going to all the regions because I strongly believe that words are not enough, even this meeting is not enough, but at least I have to look everyone in the eye and I want to say grateful thanks because everyone has his own merits”, said Rama.

Rama thanked all activists and organizational structures who as he put it, “Their hard work is reflected in the result”.

“Even though people voted for us, they are still unhappy with us. They have high expectations of us and believe that only we can do the things they need. It would be fatal for us if we fall into complacency and think that we are irreplaceable”, said Rama.

Rama thanked even those who didn’t turn out.

“They deserve respect because they abandoned the shadows of the past that appeared only to turn us back.”

“There is one thing that can be fulfilled 100% and it is up to us”, said Rama.

“All the mayors should adopt a civilized conduct with all members of a community, with every citizen of this country, with every family, with every enterprise, every interest group. This should be the first point of the governance program of every mayor who came out of the May 14 vote. We should create mechanisms for all people to feel being heard, respected. Then whether or not a problem is solved depends on the possibilities. Even if he didn’t solve my problem, at least I opened my heart to him”, said Rama./p.s./
