PM Kurti meets with EP Rapporteur Von Cramon, put emphasis on need to implement framework agreement

PRISHTINA, May 28 /ATA/ – Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti met Sunday with the European Parliament Rapporteur for Kosovo Viola von Cramon, with talks focusing on the latest developments in the country.

The Prime Minister’s office said in a press release that Kurti and EP Rapporteur Von Cramon particularly focused on the European Union-facilitated Kosovo-Serbia dialogue process and the post-election process in the four communes in north of the country.

“The Premier recalled the fact that local elections in the four communes in the country’s north were postponed once in December and with the elections now held on April 23 it is important that we commence delivering basic public services to the citizens as soon as possible, after public services were suspended since last November after the previous mayors resigned,” the Prime Minister’s office said in a statement.

As far as the EU-mediated dialogue, PM Kurti underlined the need for complete and unconditional implementation of the framework agreement between Kosovo and Serbia on the EU-backed deal to normalise ties.
