TIRANA, May 26/ATA/ The “AstralKnight 23” exercise is taking place in the Albanian airspace, within the framework of “Defender Europe 2023”.
Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi shared on social media moments from this military exercise, which is taking place in Albania.
“This is one of the three exercises that our country welcomes within the framework of “Defender Europe 23″ and brings together air defense units from the US and Europe. The goal is to improve interoperability and standardize operational procedures with allied forces,” said Peleshi.
Albania is hosting for the second time the largest military exercise in Europe, “Defender Europe 23”. About 17,000 multinational troops participate in the exercise, which takes place from May 22 to June 9, making it the largest in Albania’s history as a NATO ally.
The “Immediate Response-23”, “Saber Guardian-23” and “Astral Knight-23” exercises will take place in Albania. 700 members of the Armed Forces participate in these exercises. /k.s/ /gj.m/p.s./
