Ibrahimaj: Salary reform creates proper conditions to make a competitive administration

TIRANA, May 25/ATA/ Minister of Finance and Economy Delina Ibrahimaj presented today in the Assembly the draft law that paves the way for salary increases for the administration.

Ibrahimaj announced that the salary reform in the administration creates the right conditions to make the administration competitive.

“We intend to improve the hierarchy, to attract and retain qualified employees in the administration. We make a direct connection between the job position and the corresponding responsibility with the salary. We are giving a better salary for the job positions and we will expect a better job for every salary,” she said.

The minister announced that, this reform enables that for every two Lekë collected in the budget, from taxes and fees, one Lek goes for direct transfers to the citizens.

“This is actually the biggest change in the budget and fiscal policy. It is a historical change, which brings the budget policy more to the service of the citizens. For every two Lekë income from taxes and duties, one Lek goes for direct transfers, salaries, pensions, economic assistance. Half of the money from the state budget goes directly to the citizens, the other half for the improvement of services, investments and other budget activities”, she added.

Ibrahimaj emphasized that, through the reform, it is intended to create a salary pyramid for some independent constitutional institutions, which will be in accordance with their importance and responsibility./gj.m/p.s./
