Veliaj: Gratitude to every citizen who voted for us, work will continue uninterruptedly

TIRANA, May 20 /ATA/ The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, together with the chair of the City Council, Romina Kuko, have started a thank-you tour in all local government units, after the victory of the May 14 elections.

During the stop in neighborhood 13, Veliaj said that he feels grateful to every citizen who voted for him and the Socialist Party, which also insured the majority in the City Council, while underlining that the work will move ahead with the projects started in this unit as well.

“It is very important to have the institution of gratitude as strong as the institution of victory. It is with great gratitude that I look forward to, starting next week, fixing the situation at the Botanic Gardens and moving forward with that investment. We have seen how the Zoo increased the value of all that property. Now that we have solved the problem of the last lot of schools, let’s continue with the last two schools at Liqeni i Thate and make sure that, also at the corner of the Botanic Garden, but also at the Olympic Park, the two new schools are built , to prove to all skeptics that we do not build educational facilities for the sake of election campaign. Now that the campaign is over, we will work twice as much, just to guarantee that the citizens have not voted out of electoral enthusiasm but they have voted for an organization, team, a party like ours, which works every day, as if every day is the last day of the campaign,” said Veliaj.
