TIRANA, May 19 /ATA/ – The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Olta Xhaçka met Friday with Director-General of European Commission’s Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Directorate, Gert Jan Koopman.
After meeting with the EU official, Xhaçka said that she and Koopman discussed Albania’s EU integration process and the geopolitical situation in the EU’s neighbouring regions in the wake of the Russian aggression on Ukraine.
“We shared the same view on the very good performance that Albania has made on the path towards EU integration and agreed to continue with the next steps to be taken within 2023,” the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs said in a post on the social media.
