“A big thank you to all the citizens who entrusted me the post of Shkoder Mayor. I am grateful to each and every one of you for the citizenship, seriousness and commitment. Wholeheartedly thank you,” Beci said.
The election victory in Shkoder is very significant for the ruling Socialist Party as this is the first time this party wins the city, which has traditionally been a stronghold of the Democratic Party.
