E- vote in Elbasan, Kamza and Vora. Real-time data on citizen participation

TIRANA, May 14 /ATA/- In three municipalities of the country, e- and counting will be applied on Sunday in local elections.

Electronic voting and counting has been enabled in Elbasan, Kamëz and Vorë and guarantees the secrecy of the vote.
According to the management level of the CEC, the training of operators of e- voting and counting devices is considered an important factor in the successful implementation of the e- voting project.

Based on an aggregation of the data, it results that in the three municipalities of Elbasan, Kamzë and Vorë there are a total of 401 VCs and the number of voters is 310,846.

The innovation of electronic voting and counting is the periodic transmission of data on attendance in elections.
For the first time, we will have real data on the number of voters who cast their vote in each polling station in the election process today.

The voter must show up at his voting center with a biometric ID card or passport, to be identified through the PEI device, where, in addition to the identification document, he will also leave.

The State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi, has emphasized that the CEC has built such a system, which leaves no reason or opportunity for anyone who manipulatively aims to avoid electronic identification. The PEI operators have been trained through an improved training methodology, so it is thought that the process of identifying voters will be better than in previous years.
