TIRANA, May 10 /ATA/ The mayor of Durres, also the SP candidate for local elections in the municipality of Durrës, Emiriana Sako held a meeting with residents of neighborhoods 18 and 8 in Durrës, where she outlined the plans for upgrading infrastructure in this area.
“We are proud that neighborhood 18, once an underinvested neighborhood, will develop into a modern neighborhood with upgraded infrastructure,” said Sako.
She said that we have made a very valuable investment in this neighborhood as is the reconstruction of 40 residential buildings benefiting about 1 thousand families.
“The city stadium is also located in neighborhood 18, so once the implementation of the new stadium project is completed, it will boast upgraded infrastructure and the new social-economic center that will be opened thereafter.”
Mayor Emiriana Sako also mentioned the investments for reconstruction of “Naim Frashëri” and “Bernardina Qeraxhia” schools, which will be delivered next year.
“The major projects that are being implemented in Durrës, such as that of the Marina, the new Port in Porto Romano, the new Stadium and the Manchester City Sports Academy, will deliver a great impact on development of Durrës, so I invite you to continue with these works that we have started on May 14,” Sako said among others.
