TIRANA, May 8 /ATA/ The Tirana mayor, Erion Veliaj, after the first session in SPAK, said that he has won all the battles in court against the defamation of the opposition.
“Today I pressed charges against Sali Berisha, who has been insulting and cursing anyone for over 30 years on end, but everything does have its limits. There is an expression, saying : Give way to the dumb and the wicked. But I do not believe in it. I believe that in a democratic country, we should give way neither to the dumb nor to the wicked. Sali Berisha must prove in court these stories with Iranians, with revolutionary guards, fictitious photos, slander and baseless accusations. He has invited me to debate for so long, today is the moment to pluck up the courage. Sali Berisha is not a man! We all know this. He is the biggest coward of this country. He is 80 years old and people tell me it makes no sense to confront him about this because he is out of his mind. But I do not believe that he is out of his mind. Sali Berisha is a wicked man. Sali Berisha has sawn hatred, division and defamation as well as has promoted a culture of mudslinging, but has never ever take the responsibility for the lies spread,” said Veliaj.
The Mayor of Tirana said that the Court ruled that Sali Berisha will be forcibly brought to the Court on May 19.
