TIRANA, May 4 /ATA/ Roughly 2902 young people have applied with the Coding Program for young people, opened in January of this year.
The National Agency for Employment and Skills announced that the Coding Program helps young people guide their careers to secure profiles for the future in the labor market.
The Coding Program, also known as the Vocational Training Program, is being implemented for the first time and serves the long-term vision for Albania to reach the full potential of digitalization and to prepare skilled young people, aged 16-35, who even without experience in computer science, move into a career in the technology industry, at a relatively low cost.
The subsidy from the government goes up to 50% of the cost, while for some more vulnerable categories it goes up to 100%.
The coding program, in addition to the subsidy, will also provide connection with the labor market, to simplify the interaction between the profiling of young people and the labor market, as well as to enable employment offers for young people with wages comparable to the international market, immediately after completion of course.
