TIRANA, April 28 /ATA/ President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, held a meeting on Friday with the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Gordan Jandrokovic.
In this meeting, President Begaj appreciated the excellent relations between the two countries and the role played by both parliaments in strengthening these relations.
Also in attendance of the meeting was the representative of the Albanian minority in the Croatian Parliament, Ermina Lekaj Prljaskaj.
For President Begaj, the presence of Prljaskaj in the Parliament of Croatia is a testimony of the close relations between the two countries and a guarantee for further strengthening of these relations.
In the context of Albania’s European integration, inter-parliamentary cooperation is necessary.
“The exchange of high-level visits between the parliamentarians of the two countries is also important to deepen the cooperation in various fields”, he said.
