TIRANA, April 27 /ATA/ The deadline for identity documents of Albanian citizens, which expire on May 14, is postponed.
The news was announced by Minister of Interior, Bledi Çuçi, in a media statement after the government meeting.
Çuçi stated that, “this postponement comes as a result of a consultation with the CEC that conveys the concerns of political parties, given the large number of identity documents that expire or have expired by May 14.”
“We decided to postpone the deadline and in this way all citizens will be able to vote on May 14 despite the fact that their ID has expired,” said Çuçi.
