TIRANA, April 26 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/ The Constitutional Court has once again postponed the hearing for the deliberation of the request of the Democratic Party regarding the Council of Ministers decision for operations to demolish unauthorized constructions.
The DP Secretary General, Gazment Bardhi, called this decision senseless as, according to him, it runs counter to the 32-year practice.
“The reason for which the last session was postponed was also proven by the court that it was a senseless argument brought by by the Council of Ministers to delay the deliberation of this case in the Constitutional Court”, said Bardhi.
“Regarding today’s session, we found that the same panel of judges, made up of the same judges of the Constitutional Court, has set a new standard by putting this issue off. To date, 28 lawmakers of the same parliamentary group have show up with an authorization issued by the group’s chairman,” added Bardhi.
He said that the reason for this absurd decision is the prime minister’s intimidation.
