TIRANA, April 24 /ATA/ –By I. Vata/ – The United States Ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim said Monday that the justice system reform is yielding real results and underlined the need to further improve investments climate in the country
Addressing the Assembly of the American Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Ambassador noted that that U.S.-Albanian relations are at an all-time high and U.S. investments and trade exchanges with Albania are increasing constantly.
She noted that the justice reform results are a significant indicator influencing decisions about investment plans.
“The United States of America has strongly supported the judicial reform in Albania. Reform of this scale is extraordinarily difficult and, frankly, it is painful, but progress is being made, and reform is now producing real results – results that will influence investment decisions,” Kim said.
“Albania will surely attract more trade and investment from the United States as the government continues to rationalize and streamline rules and procedures, resolve property claims, root out corruption from its business and justice sectors, and strengthen its partnership with the American business community,” Ambassador Kim said.
