Rama: 53726 new businesses registered in e-Albania

TIRANA, April 24 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said today at the Business Climate Forum, which is taking place in the Palace of Congresses in Tirana, that the government will continue the fight against informality.

The prime minister addressed the entrepreneurs saying that, “We do not send any more tax-collectors while there is achieved another great victory of the digital revolution; all the transactions are done online”.

Rama said that, “In 2022, there are 53,726 new businesses registered on the e-Albania platform and 111,062 businesses have applied for fiscalization, taking to 100% fiscalization for large businesses and 93% for small ones, so we do not need the tax-collectors”.

He added that, “I don’t think the best way is to take inspectors to the hotels and knock on the doors to see if there is anyone or no one, because that brings problems. But, we do have the right to put some limits to the businesses and tell them: “If you don’t treat the employees the way you want to be treated by us, then you can’t benefit from the tax money of the Albanians. You only have to pay taxes, but not benefit from taxes, not service contracts from the state””.

“I am convinced that, in any case, now we can tell alum from sugar while there are businesses today, whose salaries are much higher than what is said and what is seen”, said Rama./gj .m/r.e/p.s./
